Recently, the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region in collaboration with the Government of Mizoram launched the Mizoram Ginger Mission to promote the cultivation and commercialization of Mizoram’s Geographical Indication (GI)-certified ginger.

Mizoram Ginger Mission

The Mizoram Ginger Mission has been launched jointly by the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region and the Government of Mizoram to promote cultivation and value addition of Mizoram’s GI-certified ginger.

The initiative aims to strengthen farmers’ income, promote organic farming, and boost the export potential of ginger from the North-Eastern region.
